Tim Sherwood reveals what he thinks Fosun will do for Wolves in the January transfer window

Tim Sherwood has delivered his verdict on what Fosun will do in the January transfer window amid Wolves’ poor start to the Premier League.

Pressure is beginning to mount, even with Vitor Pereira’s new deal, as fans have once again been vocal about their grievances with the ownership.

The summer transfer window was far from ideal, and Ally McCoist believes Pereira has been let down, as his top players were sold.

Wolves are slowly sleepwalking into relegation, and the next transfer window could be crucial to stave off the drop.

Now, Tim Sherwood believes he already knows what will happen.

Tim Sherwood appeared on Sky Sports Fan Club and was asked about which clubs he thinks will get relegated.

The former manager was quick to pick the Old Gold and gave an early prediction for the next transfer window.

Sherwood said, “Wolves are red-hot favourites [to go down] at the moment; they need to start picking up. I believe there might be a panic in there.

“They never recruited anyone. They lost important players like Cunha, Ait Nouri and Semedo, and they never really replaced them.

“So I think they will panic in January and start signing some players but can they hit the floor running? They’ll need to.”

While it is just a guess from Sherwood, the comments will not help ease frustrations among the fanbase with the ambition of Fosun.

Wolves still need another midfielder and potentially a forward

Before the summer window closed, Wolves needed another midfielder, so their priorities in January must stay the same.

Additionally, if their goalscoring woes continue, they may need to sign another forward who can either create or score chances.

They have scored just three goals in five Premier League matches, although it is worth mentioning that Jorgen Strand Larsen has been out injured for two of those fixtures and only fit enough for the bench in another.

The Norwegian has shown he can be a prolific scorer in the Premier League, but the latest data is a worrying concern for the number nine.
