Former Premier League manager Tim Sherwood has given a damning assessment of a Premier League relegation rival — welcome news for Wolves.
Perhaps Wolves can take comfort in not being the only side enduring a horrid start to the campaign.
Vitor Pereira’s side may be rock bottom, but there are teams just ahead who haven’t hit their stride yet either.
In the latest round of Premier League action, one team flirting with relegation put on a performance that evoked a strong reaction from Tim Sherwood, who has seen enough of their underwhelming play.

Tim Sherwood blasts West Ham after Brentford loss
West Ham have had almost as bad a time of it as Wolves this season.
The Hammers have taken four points from eight games and sit just ahead of Wolves in 19th. Graham Potter was dismissed early in the campaign, and Nuno Espirito Santo has taken his place.
But Nuno, at his second club already this season, hasn’t managed to turn fortunes around, and Sherwood has dished out heavy criticism following their showing on Monday night.
Appearing on Sky Sports News, he has some pretty strong words for Nuno’s men, saying: “I can’t remember the last time I saw a team as bad as West Ham the other evening.”
Sherwood can’t comprehend how poor the recruitment has been in recent seasons. Their performances have been lethargic, lacking any intensity or intent.
As he puts it: “It’s not good enough at the moment, I just get frustrated watching or even talking about West Ham.”
Wolves need three teams below them come the end of May, and Sherwood’s comments — echoed by many others in recent weeks — suggest they could be a prime target for Wolves to overtake.
Nuno Espirito Santo vs Vitor Pereira
After Nuno’s unceremonious dismissal from Nottingham Forest earlier this season, he was the obvious candidate for the next Premier League coaching vacancy. His experience and achievements in the top flight speak for themselves.
But his arrival has done little to quell unrest at the London Stadium.

We know well the pressure Pereira is under at Wolves, but does he or his predecessor stand a better chance at keeping their position?
Nuno has had very little time to put his stamp on the Hammers, but Pereira has just signed a long-term deal.
The simple answer is whoever keeps losing the longest will be most likely to go. The two struggling sides don’t meet again until the New Year, and again in the final weeks of the season. By that time, at least one of the two won’t be on the sideline unless something changes.
