‘They help quite a lot’: Nathan Fraser says two Wolves stars are really helping him in training

Wolves striker Nathan Fraser has been speaking about how he’s getting on at the club at the moment – and revealed two first-teamers that are helping him a lot in training.

Fraser has been developing nicely for Wolves at youth level and, earlier this season, the teenager was handed his first-team debut by Gary O’Neil.

Fraser featured in the closing stages of the Carabao Cup match with Blackpool, and managed to get himself on the score sheet. He also grabbed an assist in that match.

Fraser then made another appearance in the defeat to Ipswich Town in the next round.

He’s very much making an impression right now, with James Collins piling praise on him on Monday after his latest goal for the U21s against PSV Eindhoven.

Perhaps one reason he is doing well right now is because of the help he’s getting off two Wolves players.

Nathan Fraser says Matheus Cunha and Sasa Kalajdzic are great to learn from

Fraser is now Wolves’ fourth-choice striker, following the club’s failure to land one at the end of the summer transfer window.

As such, he trains with Gary O’Neil’s squad. On Monday, Collins said that this has been good for Fraser, and Fraser also believes first-team training has really helped to improve him.

And he named two players in particular who have been good to him.

He said (Wolves official): “It’s a much higher level. It’s a Premier League first-team, so just the tempo, the physicality is a lot higher.

“It can only bring on your game and make you a better player. Players like Sasa (Kalajdzic), (Matheus) Cunha, I think they help quite a lot and they’re good to train with every day.”

Good on Cunha and Kalajdzic

Fraser is a potential gem at Wolves, so good on Cunha and Kalajdzic for offering him their pearls of wisdom.

Fraser looks a really exciting prospect, having developed well in recent times.

Quite possibly, Wolves could have a new regular number nine on their hands if the management of him is right.

It will take some time. And it’s possible Fraser may well benefit from a loan move.

But there is definitely excitement about him, and it would be so good to see an academy product really thrive in the first-team.
