Theo Corbeanu has officially completed a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Wolves youngster will play his football at Hillsborough in 2021/22, and will hope to catch the eye in League One.
Corbeanu was finally handed his Wolves first-team debut by Nuno Espirito Santo back in May against Tottenham Hotspur.
It was the chance for him to dip his toe in at the deep end, and hopefully he’ll use the experience as motivation going forwards.
Speaking of Corbeanu’s move, Wolves technical director Scott Sellars said: “It’s fantastic for Theo because he had a really good season last year in the under-23s, being successful in terms of assists and goals, which culminated in his debut for the first-team which was great.”
Wednesday suffered relegation from the Championship last term, and are looking to bounce back immediately.
They get their League One campaign underway this Saturday, with Charlton Athletic their opponents.
Corbeanu could be in contention for minutes, although a start might be unlikely.
That said, the youngster has already trained with his new teammates.
The Canadian teenager took to Instagram yesterday evening to post about his move, writing: “Very happy to have signed for @swfcofficial on loan for this season. New beginnings.”
