Theo Corbeanu included in latest League One Team of the Week

Wolves youngster Theo Corbeanu has made the latest League One Team of the Week, after fans lauded his latest display for Sheffield Wednesday.

The forward was in action yesterday for the Owls against Gillingham, with the game finishing 1-1 at Hillsborough.

Corbeanu was starting, after scoring a goal and providing an assist in the club’s previous League One match against Sunderland.

He was also lively in their FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle.

Against Gillingham, Corbeanu operated as a right wing-back, a role he hasn’t had too much experience with previously.

But he put in a fine display, and was a frequent outlet for Darren Moore’s side.

He had 77 touches in the game, which was the same as his teammate Barry Bannan (Sofascore). Nobody had more than the pair.

Corbeanu made four key passes – again, nobody made more. He also put in 13 crosses, easily more than anyone else.

The Canada international was also decent defensively, making three tackles.

His lively showing has earned him a place in the latest official League One Team of the Week.

Corbeanu started off his loan spell slowly, but now seems to be making a decent impact for the Owls.

Wolves will just be hoping he continues to play regularly, even if he does operate a right wing-back here and there.

On social media, fans were full of praise for Corbeanu following his display against Gillingham:
