Wolves have made a poor start to the new season and many have put that down to bad recruitment – something that Domenico Teti has played a big part in.
Back in mid-June, Wolves restructured their recruitment division, which saw Matt Hobbs leave the club.
In came Teti, who had previously worked with Vitor Pereira at Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia.
He became the club’s new director of professional football, and works closely with Pereira, as well as agent Jorge Mendes and Valdir Cardoso.
But Domenico Teti’s future in seemingly now up in the air.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Juventus were showing interest in Teti to become their new sporting director.
And today, it was reported there has actually been contact between Juventus and Teti, and that a final decision by the Italian club on who to go for will be made in a few weeks.
Wolves fans happy to see Teti go amid Juventus links

Wolves have picked up just two points so far this season.
And a lot of supporters believe the main reason for the struggles has been because of the club’s recruitment.
Wolves lost game-changing players like Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri, and experienced heads such as Pablo Sarabia and Nelson Semedo.
And all of the incomings lack Premier League experience.
So for that reason, some Wolves fans on social media have actually welcomed the possibility of an early exit for Teti.
@wwfc_c: “So he’s been paid to do nothing and now potentially might be leaving 😂 #wwfc”
@molineuxmusings: “Makes sense. Juve have also had a number of terrible transfer dealings over the past few years. He’ll fit right in.”
@Cal_Wood1990: “What a shame, he’s been excellent since he arrived as well 🥴”
@Blubberguts: “Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.”
@DekkaLyttle: “I’ll buy him a Ryanair flight to Turin and book him an Uber to BHX.
@Sandhurstwolf: “Wouldn’t bother me.”
Teti yet to convince at Wolves
This situation will be interesting to watch, with Teti having obviously not been in place for very long.
He’s had one transfer window so far at Wanderers. And on the face of it so far, it wasn’t a very good one.
But with time, maybe the signings that were made will come good. But certainly, for the moment, the jury is still out on those players – barring Ladislav Krejci who is brilliant – and, by extension, Teti.
If he does happen to leave for Juventus, then that wouldn’t be so ideal. Especially because Wolves look like they could really struggle this term and it could be difficult finding someone who’s willing to take on a huge challenge and potentially risk having a relegation on their CV.
