The ugly scenes that unfolded after Jose Sa jumped into crowd to confront Wolves fans

Wolves were involved in a horror-show at Molineux as the Old Gold suffered a 4-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

Just when things at Wolves started to look up, Gary O’Neil watched his side fall apart against Bournemouth.

O’Neil was taunted by his former club as the Cherries scored four at Molineux on what was a dreadful day for the hosts in the penalty area.

For the first time in Premier League history, a player won three penalties in a single fixture with Jose Sa and Toti Gomes responsible for fouling Evanilson.

Jose Sa confronts Wolves fans vs Bournemouth

It was a bad day at the office for Wolves and arguably the worst performance by Sa, who conceded two penalties by clattering the Bournemouth striker.

The goalkeeper was all over the place from the first minute, with pressure added to him as Sam Johnstone watched on from the bench.

It wasn’t just during the action that the Portugal international crumbled, as Sa was involved in an ugly scene at the interval.

At half-time, the shot-stopper was seen to parade into the stands to confront a Wolves fan who was handing the 31-year-old some abuse.

The ‘keeper defended himself by making his thoughts about the supporter in question known, leading to the fan being marched out of Molineux by security.

A video taken by a supporter showed others applauding when the individual causing problems was removed, displaying full support for Sa on what was a miserable day.

Sa’s alarming performance against Bournemouth

By far the most frustrating thing about the Old Gold’s first defeat in four was how needless the mistakes made were.

While Andoni Iraola’s side were incredibly impressive, Wolves displayed that they could find a way to trouble the visitors but such was not possible due to individual error.

Sa was one of several players who had an afternoon to forget as the shot-stopper was responsible for two of Bournemouth’s four goals.

O’Neil now has a decision to make regarding the Portugal international’s immediate future in the favoured XI with Johnstone waiting in the wings to return to the lineup.
