Wolves fell to yet another defeat in the Premier League on Sunday, but Monday morning brings surprise word of an offer to buy part of the club from John Textor.
Many fans are waking up disgruntled today after what transpired at Molineux yesterday.
Wolves lost their game against Burnley, which had been described as must-win by Vitor Pereira, and also many other pundits and fans.
Wolves went 2-0 down, but got it back to 2-2 by half-time. In the second-half, the team didn’t make the most of their possession, and right at the end conceded to Lyle Foster.
There were scenes of fury at the end, with Pereira and Jorgen Strand Larsen remonstrating with the South Bank.
The source of frustration for most is Fosun and their running of the club.
There were more chants against Fosun from Wolves fans against Burnley, and arguably their popularity has never been lower.
This morning, there has been a surprise claim about the ownership of Wolves.

John Textor makes offer to buy Wolves, but Fosun accepting is unlikely

Wolves fans have wondered for a while whether there is a chance Fosun could sell up.
Many are tired with how the Chinese conglomerate has run the club in the last three or four years or so.
After the first two seasons back in the Premier league under Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves have been on the decline, and now the immediate future of the club is looking bleak.
Today, a surprising article has appeared in The Athletic, and Fosun have actually received an offer for a stake in Wolves from John Textor, the former minority owner at Crystal Palace.
The offer is worth $200million in cash and $350million in shares ‘in a rebooted version of his multi-club group to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ owner Fosun Group’.
Textor’s bid for Wolves was sent via Moelis which is the bank Fosun is using to market its shares.
It’s added that Textor likes Wolves for their Portuguese-led recruitment, which fits his plan to move South American talent into Europe.
But The Athletic says that this offer that was made recently is unlikely to be accepted. That’s because Fosun is not interested in Textor’s Eagle shares and only wants to sell a minority stake.
Therefore, Textor could now seek to make an offer for a Championship club, which would be cheaper and be more suited to his multi-club approach. He is said to have been looking at the likes of Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford.
Textor is a majority shareholder at Eagle Football Group, which is said not to be a happy camp at the moment with Ares Management trying to claw back chunks of the £320 million it lent to Textor to buy Lyon in 2022. He has apparently given Ares most of the proceeds of his sale of his minority stake in Crystal Palace.
Wolves can’t progress while Fosun are at the helm
Word of Textor’s offer to buy Wolves has not been lapped up by every Wolves fan on social media this morning.
But by the sounds of it there is little chance of him acquiring a level of control at Wolves.
At this point, many Wolves fans simply want the club to be owned by someone, or a group, that is going to show true ambition.

For a time, Wolves looked like they could be a very successful outfit under Fosun. But their model has proven unsustainable in the long term and now there is a serious risk of dropping into the Championship as a result.
There is increased talk of Pereira being sacked. But the likelihood is that things will not really change for Wolves by removing the manager. Of course, he has made plenty of mistakes and not covered himself in much glory this season, but the buck ultimately stops with Fosun for this mess.
Sure, there might be an initial improvement by changing manager, like there was when Gary O’Neil, Julen Lopetegui and Bruno Lage all first came in.
But it always seems to end the same way, and the common denominator is Fosun.
