Vitor Pereira outlines ‘most important’ change to his Wolves squad

After Pereira made Wolves history in his first game in charge, the Portuguese hit another level on Boxing Day.

A packed Molineux watched on as Wolves beat Man United comfortably, scoring twice and not conceding, dominating even before Bruno Fernandes was sent off.

While United being down to ten men certainly helped the hosts, Pereira’s side showed great belief from the first whistle, which pleased the Wolves manager on the sidelines.

Following the victory, Pereira faced the media, where he shared a ‘special’ verdict on his start to life with his new squad.

“It’s a fantastic feeling and it’s special because of the spirit of the team,” Pereira said before outlining what he admires most about his players.

“We can see that the players are ready to suffer together, they are ready to run, fight, to compete for each ball. I feel they have the confidence to play and to win the duels and this is most important for me.”

Every player can hold their heads high after the performance at Molineux, an event that was contrasting to the previous contest at home, being the late defeat to Ipswich Town.

Wolves have seen great change since Pereira took charge, with the boss’ second game only emphasising what this squad can do when pumped with confidence.
