Wolves are looking to pick up their first points of the season in the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, and one player simply has to start in the eyes of fans.
Wanderers secured a much-needed victory over Everton on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup.
Wolves won 2-0 at Molineux, with Vitor Pereira changing the system to a back four.
Marshall Munetsi and Tolu Arokodare both scored, and overall, Wolves put in a good performance just days after the horror show that was Leeds United.
Several players who featured against Everton made strong cases to start against Spurs this week.
And one man who many felt really stood out against Everton was Andre.
It’s been a very peculiar start to the new season for Andre, who has surprisingly been dropped twice by Pereira.
Against Everton though he dazzled, and fans have sent a clear message to Pereira ahead of Spurs.

Wolves fans laud Andre as amazing statistic emerges

Andre is arguably Wolves’ best player following the sale of Matheus Cunha in the summer.
It hasn’t been the best of starts for him, but some have still been perplexed to see Pereira drop him twice.
Especially because Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has not been in particularly good form.
Against Everton, Andre – who cost £21 million (BBC Sport) – seemed back to somewhere near his best though, as if he was really trying to send a message to Pereira.
Wolves have released a graphic on X that shows Andre completed all 50 of the passes he attempted against Everton.
And fans have sent a clear message to Pereira over the midfielder.
@_DazzlingDave: “Why he should start every game he’s quality.”
@DekkaLyttle: “And yet not starting in the league. Insane.”
@Joe71gill: “If he’s not starting on Saturday Vitor needs to answer some questions.”
@parker_bradley: “Do not ever bench this man again.”
@NethertonWolves: “Show this to VP the next time he thinks about dropping him.”
@ItsKyleHey: “Needs to be starting every game.”
Andre upturn will be key Wolves revival

If Wolves are to get out of this rut they’re in, it will be vital to get Andre back into form.
In the second half of last season, we really saw what he is all about, and that is dictating games from deep midfield positions.
Against Everton he was fantastic. Not only was he flawless in possession, but Andre was tenacious as well, winning seven out of the eight duels he contested and making five tackles (via Sofascore).

Pereira dropping Andre twice this season has been slightly concerning to see. After all, Andre has previously been hailed as one of the best sixes in the Premier League by Dave Edwards, making his recent exclusions difficult to understand.
But hopefully the manager will refrain from doing that again, because this is a top player who has the potential to drag Wolves out of trouble.
