The heartfelt nine-word message Matheus Cunha sent to Pedro Lima after Wolves win vs Bournemouth

Wolves ace Matheus Cunha was the star of the show against Bournemouth but, the Brazilian was eager to shine the spotlight on another player.

What a win it was for Wolves at the Vitality as Vitor Pereira’s side moved five points above the relegation zone.

Cunha netted his 13th goal of the Premier League season to ensure all three points travelled back to the West Midlands.

It was an outing to remember for the Old Gold and a fixture to savour for Pedro Lima, who was introduced to make his third league appearance of the campaign.

Matheus Cunha sends heartfelt message to Pedro Lima

Gary O’Neil insisted that Lima wouldn’t play much at senior level in his first season at Wolves but, Pereira is proving the former Wolves manager to be very wrong.

Lima’s quality is difficult to ignore despite being only 18, with the defender proving himself to be a handful when given the chance in the first team.

Against Bournemouth, Pereira handed the youngster minutes off the bench to add to his collection this season, which delighted the summer signing.

On Instagram after the win, Lima posted with the caption “A time for Everything”, to which he was met with a wall of well wishes.

One of those in the comments section was Cunha, who sent the teen an uplifting nine-word message that read, “Damn dude, how cool to see your evolution. Enjoy.”

Cunha was integral in Wolves signing Lima as the forward noticed his countryman’s exciting talent before the Old Gold signed him, with his support for the 18-year-old going strong.

Lima always excites when called into action for Wolves

Not many thought that Lima would be up to speed in the Premier League, having signed for Wolves as a teenager from Brazilian second-tier side Sport Recife.

At his boyhood club, the defender had only made 26 senior appearances before making the jump to arguably the most competitive domestic league in the world.

Nothing seems to faze the fullback, who showed his confidence and fearless approach against Bournemouth, making his presence known despite only being on the pitch for ten minutes.

Pereira has a real talent on his hands with Lima, who is repaying the boss’ trust with some exciting performances in the first team.
