Wolves and Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 in the Premier League at the City Ground on Saturday – and there was one incident that was completely overlooked.
Wanderers took a point on the road, battling back from a goal down in the second-half.
Gary O’Neil was once again missing important players, with Craig Dawson, Pedro Neto and Jean Ricner-Bellegarde missing the matchday squad.
But there was a boost in that Matheus Cunha was back starting for the first time since returning from injury, and Hwang Hee-chan was also back in action for the first time in weeks.
Cunha put in a big performance, scoring twice with his first an absolute stunner. The Brazilian carried the ball a huge distance from Jose Sa‘s throw out, turned a couple of defenders and lashed into the top corner.
It was probably a fair result in the end, however, there was one ‘astonishing’ moment that the officials saw nothing in…
The ‘astonishing’ moment that was overlooked in Nottingham Forest v Wolves

A deeply frustrating moment for Wolves fans on Saturday was when Morgan Gibbs-White scored to equalise in the first-half.
The former Molineux youngster turned in a header, and then angered the travelling fans by celebrating in front of them, in the same he did last season after scoring his shoot-out penalty in the Carabao Cup.
The goal was given fairly quickly in the end, but there has been a bit more closer analysis since the game finished – and it seems Forest were a little fortunate with Gibbs-White’s goal.
When the delivery comes in, Gibbs-White can be seen shoving Nelson Semedo in the back to create space for himself.
Taking to X, journalist Nathan Judah said: “How this push on Semedo by MGW has not been picked up & disallowed by VAR is astonishing (well it’s not) – huge slice of luck for Forest.”
Forest fortunate
Wolves were probably not worthy of maximum points against Forest, but this moment undoubtedly went in the hosts’ favour.
It is a clear push from Gibbs-White on Semedo to generate the space, and without it, the full-back would perhaps have been able to contest the 24-year-old. Had Semedo gone to ground, the goal would surely have been ruled out.
Given the way things have gone with Wolves and VAR this season, it was never likely to be given. At this point, anything vaguely contentious just seems to go against O’Neil’s side.
Thankfully, there is a lot of character and spirit in this squad, and Wolves were able to go on and take a point at the City Ground.
