Wolves are now commencing their pre-season.
It has been six weeks since the 2024/25 season ended, and preparations will now begin for the 2025/26 campaign.
Some fans are feeling a little nervous about the new season ahead.
Because some key players have already left Molineux this summer, including Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Pablo Sarabia.
There is potential for this to be a difficult campaign.
Vitor Pereira has proven himself as a great manager, but he will only be able to do so much next term – he needs new players in, and he needs them in sooner rather than later.
Hopefully Wolves’ transfer window will spring into life soon, but for now, a handful of players are back at Compton Park.
New Wolves gallery shows the first-team players who’ve returned to Compton for pre-season, exit-linked Goncalo Guedes present

It was reported last week that several Wolves players will only join up with the squad just before flying to the Algarve.
For the moment, Wolves are spending some time at Compton, before flying out to Portugal for warm weather training and to play some games.
Next Tuesday, Wolves will take on CD Santa Clara, meaning an early chance for Pereira to get a look at his players.
But for now, a handful of players will be put through their paces at Compton, and Wolves have released a new gallery of pictures showing who from the first-team is actually back.
- Andre
- Joao Gomes
- Toti Gomes
- Fer Lopez
- Tom King
- Dan Bentley
- Jean-Ricner Bellegarde
- Marshall Munetsi
- Goncalo Guedes
- Enso Gonzalez
- Yerson Mosquera
- Sasa Kalajdzic
- Mateus Mane
Yerson Mosquera and Sasa Kalajdzic returned a week early at Compton, perhaps to work on fitness after their long-term injuries.
Goncalo Guedes has been linked with Flamengo recently, and many expect him to move on this summer.
Clearly though, his presence at Compton suggests that there is nothing close right now with regards to him joining another club.
There are also a few youngsters pictured in the gallery to make up the numbers.
What the Wolves players actually did on their first day back at Compton
Wolves have said via their website that the players ‘underwent vigorous testing in the treatment room and were put through their paces in the gym, before taking to the pitch for the first time since May’.
The club have said that the other players, who have been given permission not to return immediately after international exploits, will come back ‘later in the week’.
Then, Wolves will fly to Portugal for a training camp, and play some behind-closed-doors games, including against Santa Clara.
Wolves will then travel to Spain for another short training camp, which the club say will be focused around the pre-season friendly with Girona on August 3.
