12 Wolves players are on international duty for the first break of the season. Here is every Old Gold star involved and what fixtures they could feature in.
Despite Wolves only playing three Premier League matches so far in the 2024/25 campaign, the season has been quickly halted by the first international break.
Gary O’Neil will no doubt see this as an opportunity to regroup his squad after a poor start to the new season. However, for many of the Molineux faithful, it means that the supporters will have to wait even longer until they can see the Old Gold back in Wolverhampton.
Now, over the next week, many Wolves players will be competing in the Nations League and World Cup qualifying campaigns before returning to England.
Below, Molineux News has listed every player who has been called up for international duty and who they will be playing against.
Andre – Brazil

- Ecuador (Friday, September 6)
- Paraguay (Tuesday, September 10)
After Andre’s deadline day move to Wolves, the midfielder got into the first Brazilian squad of the season.
The South American side will be looking to put their World Cup Qualifying campaign back on track after three successive losses. With Ecuador and Paraguay on either side of the nation, six points could be highly valuable.

- Croatia (Thursday, September 5)
- Scotland (Sunday, September 8)
Nelson Semedo has also kept his place in the Portugal team after the 2024 Euros.

- Palestine (Thursday, September 5)
- Oman (Tuesday, September 10)
In Asia, South Korea begin the third round of their World Cup Qualifying campaign after topping their group in the previous phase.

- Croatia (Tuesday, September 10)
New Wolves signing Rodrigo Gomes has earned a call-up to the Portugal Under 21s for their European Championship qualifying campaign.

- Peru (Saturday, September 7)
- Argentina (Tuesday, September 10)
Back in South America, Yerson Mosquera’s form for Wolves has earned him another call-up to the Colombia squad.
The nation are in a solid position to qualify, sitting third. However, they no doubt face a stern test against Copa America and World Cup holders Argentina after hosting Peru.
Jose Sa – Portugal

- Croatia (Thursday, September 5)
- Scotland (Sunday, September 8)
While Jose Sa’s Wolves future may be in doubt, this has not stopped the goalkeeper from being selected into the Portugal team once more.
Sa has only two caps for the senior side to date and will no doubt be looking to add to this in the Nations League over the next week.
Joao Gomes – Brazil

- Ecuador (Friday, September 6)
- Paraguay (Tuesday, September 10)
Joao Gomes has once again earned a spot in the Brazil line-up after he claimed his first cap for the nation in March.
The midfielder now has eight caps to his name as he looks to become a regular for the South America side.
Carlos Forbs – Portugal Under 21s

- Croatia (Tuesday, September 10)
While Carlos Forbs may not have played a game since signing for Wolves on deadline day, he has still earned a call-up to the Portuguese Under 21s.

Pedro Lima – Brazil Under 20s

The final player on this list, Pedro Lima is not scheduled to play any games for the Brazilian Under 20s.
Instead, the right-back will be at a training camp which will no doubt be an excellent experience for the 18-year-old as he continues to develop.
