Wolves have some big personalities in their squad, and Toti Gomes is among those characters.
Gomes joined from Swiss side Grasshoppers three years ago and has been among the Wolves first team ever since.
He has worked under five different managers at Molineux but has remained a regular throughout and is now approaching his 100th appearance for the club.
The Portugal international has also played with a lot of different players since arriving in the Midlands, and one of those teammates has surprised him.

Toti Gomes shocked by former Wolves teammate’s stat
Gomes played 20 matches with Adama Traore before the winger moved to Fulham on a free transfer in 2023.
Although Traore’s time at Molineux won’t go down in the club’s history books, his electric pace did produce some memorable moments. His fastest-ever recorded sprint in the competition was recorded while playing for Fulham, though.
The wide man’s fastest-ever recorded speed in the Premier League came in the 2023-24 season when he was clocked at 35.55 kilometers per hour (km/h) against Arsenal.
And speaking about his former teammate, Gomes, when asked to arrange a set of players in order of who he thinks is the fastest put Traore first, and said: “Adama is one of the fastest but I don’t know if he registered the fastest one.”
After learning Traore’s top speed isn’t even good enough to make the Premier League’s top 20 fastest players list, Gomes said: “Yeah, Adama being here [down the list] surprised me.
“[Amadou] Onana, as well, I didn’t know he was that quick.”
Pedro Neto only Wolves player to feature in Top 10
As mentioned above, Traore, although rapid, isn’t quick enough to make the Premier League’s record books. The former Barcelona loanee is way down the list of the Premier League’s all-time fastest players.
Wolves do have some representation in the list of top 10 fastest-ever players, though…
Despite now playing for Chelsea, Pedro Neto is the league’s fifth-ever fastest player with a speed of 36.86 kilometers per hour (km/h), which he recorded against Luton Town in the 2023-24 season.
Wolves have also been on the receiving end of some lightning-fast sprinting.
Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai recorded a top speed of 36.76 kilometers per hour (km/h) during the Reds’ 3-1 home win against Wolves in September 2023.
