Jorgen Strand Larsen has proven to be a fantastic signing for Wolves.
The Norway international arrived at the club last summer following a good campaign with Celta Vigo, and became the new number nine at Molineux.
As we all saw, the first half of the season was very tough for Wolves.
The fixture list was always going to make it so, and Wolves really did struggle to put points on the board.
Jorgen Strand Larsen did score a handful of goals for Wolves, but the team didn’t actually win a game in which he’d scored until against Southampton in March.
He scored a brace against the Saints, which started a run of goals for the ace. He scored in each of Wolves’ next three games.
And it’s possible an intervention by Wolves legend Steve Bull might have helped him find form.

Steve Bull told Jorgen Strand Larsen to be more selfish

Naturally, Bull has a great interest in Strand Larsen.
Bull knows a thing or two about scoring goals in an old gold shirt, and is very keen for the Scandinavian star to succeed at Molineux.
Bull recently paid a visit to Compton Park, as he celebrated his 60th birthday.
And he met Strand Larsen while he was there, and Bull has shared in a new interview that he told him to be a bit more selfish.
He told Zero Zero: “A few weeks ago I visited the squad at the academy and Vítor asked me to talk to Strand Larsen about goals. He’s our striker. I spoke to him for 15 minutes.
“‘Strand, hear me. My advice is this: you have to be more selfish. Everyone tries the perfect goal, but that doesn’t exist. There are goals and you’re a striker, people expect that from you’. I think it had an effect. He has scored six goals in his last seven games.”
Following that brilliant run of form, Strand Larsen picked up his first Wolves Player of the Month award.

Jorgen Strand Larsen has been a superb signing by Wolves
Strand Larsen can be extremely proud of his first season as a Wolves player.
The star will have been very frustrated in the first half of the campaign, when his goals were not really counting for anything.

But in 2025 he’s taken his game to another level and chipped in with some big goals, and really stepped up to the mark while Matheus Cunha was unavailable.
Wolves will buy Strand Larsen this summer for around £23 million, and he’s certainly shown he is worth that fee.
Hopefully, he can continue to shine next season and perhaps score even more goals.
