Steve Bull issues rallying message to Wolves fans after Rob Edwards’ appointment

Steve Bull has issued his thoughts on Wolves appointing Rob Edwards as the Old Gold look to pull off a sensational escape from the relegation zone.

Edwards has it all to do with the Wanderers eight points adrift of safety and still without a win this Premier League season.

His first game is a home match against Crystal Palace, and while it is tough opposition, the game being at Molineux will be a boost for the new arrival.

The buzz around the club is certainly building, and the Wolves staff are excited about working with Edwards. That is a feeling that can only spell good news.

While surviving this season is the ultimate goal, one pundit believes he was hired with the Championship in mind as well.

However, Steve Bull is backing Edwards and has issued his support with his latest column.

How many points will Wolves end up on this season?

Steve Bull believes fans will get behind Rob Edwards

Steve Bull is fully behind the appointment of Rob Edwards and thinks it was a smart hire by Wolves.

The former Old Gold striker has delivered a rallying show of support in his latest column for the Express and Star, urging fans to get behind the new head coach.

Bull said, “Rob Edwards is the new Wolves head coach, and I think it’s a good appointment because he’s young, eager and has proven himself at some good clubs.”

The Wolves legend is still showing belief that the club can be a Premier League side next season and is not giving up hope of survival.

Bull says, “If the players and fans get behind him, then we have a chance,” before later giving his verdict on if the latter will show that support.

He goes on to say, “I’ve been with Wolves for nearly 40 years, and the special thing about our club is the fans. They keep the club together and support us through thick and thin, whatever the weather. They are always there and are die-hard Wolves fans.

“I’ve seen our fans week in, week out, and they just want to support the club and see graft on the pitch. Edwards knows that, and I think the fans will get behind him.”

Rob Edwards must get a win sooner rather than later

Wolves’ lack of a Premier League win has been a cause for concern, and for fans to truly get behind Rob Edwards, he must rectify that as soon as possible.

An early win in his Wolves tenure could make a major difference in the relegation battle.

Crystal Palace at Molineux will be a tough fixture, but with supporters behind the team and backing the new manager, it can be a tough ground for any opposition.

Dave Edwards says an animated Molineux is Wolves’ superpower, and the players and head coach will need to tap into that to pull off an underdog win on Saturday.

Let’s all hope the new manager bounce kicks in and that it can be the start of something special this season.
