Steve Bull believes Max Kilman wants to stay at Wolves

Molineux legend Steve Bull believes Max Kilman wants to stay at Wolves as he ‘loves it’ at the club.

In recent days and weeks, speculation has been rife about Kilman’s future.

Since the end of the 2022/23 season, it has been suggested that Wolves could sell a handful of players in order to balance the books.

Kilman was a name mentioned, with Wolves potentially open to selling for at least £30 million.

Napoli are supposedly now taking an interest in the ball-playing defender.

The Italian giants have already seen one bid rejected.

But they may well return with another – but Bull feels Kilman will be sticking around.

Steve Bull believes Max Kilman wants Wolves stay

Kilman was a subject in Bull’s latest column in the Express & Star.

The club’s all-time leading goalscorer feels that Kilman should be kept as he has been ‘absolutely brilliant’, with Craig Dawson alongside him.

In his eyes, Wolves should be adding defenders now, not offloading more after Nathan Collins and Conor Coady.

He said: “Max Kilman has been absolutely brilliant for us.

“He and Craig Dawson have combined really well together and formed a really good partnership at the heart of the defence.

“It would be nice to see them continue that. I think Max loves it at the club and wants to stop, I know his contract is set to run until 2026 with an option of a further year.

“If Wolves want to keep certain players like that then you have to give them a tempting offer and try to keep them at the club.”

It would be good to see Max Kilman remain at Wolves

Following the departure of Collins, it would be nice now to see Kilman stay put.

Last season, he wasn’t quite as good as he was in the 2021/22 campaign. Although he was surprisingly named 47th best player in the Premier League recently by an American sports statistics company.

Kilman is a central defender with serious potential.

If he just became a bit more aggressive and dominant, Wolves would have an absolutely top player on their hands.

He has everything else in his locker.
