Many Wolves fans are seriously unhappy after the club fell to yet another defeat in the Premier League against Brentford.
Wolves lost 5-3 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday – and it was arguably the worst performance we have seen to date under Gary O’Neil.
Wolves are shambolic at the back down in west London.
Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rayan Ait-Nouri were all on target for Wolves, but their efforts counted for nothing due to the embarrassing level of defending on the day.
Things could now become toxic, with fans chanting after the full-time whistle for owners Fosun to go.
Yesterday evening, former striker Stan Collymore waded in on the situation – and gave a stern message to those at the top of the club.
Stan Collymore says Fosun should be deeply concerned after Wolves’ defeat to Brentford

O’Neil now finds himself a man under massive pressure.
It is just one point taken from a possible 21 and Wolves look like they do not have any answers to win a football match.
The Brentford game was a great opportunity for Wolves to get at least a point on the board. The Bees had injuries and were, on paper, a much easier opponent compared to most other sides Wolves have faced this term.
But it was a shocking performance down at the Gtech, and fans are now deeply concerned.
These concerns were expressed on social media, with pundit Stan Collymore writing after the game: “Wolves fans, I come in peace. Lots of injuries, haven’t had a big window in some time, do you give him time to get everyone back having (today aside) mostly played the big boys, or is this not repairable?”
Swaithes of Wolves fans vented their anger to Collymore, who then said in another post: “If I were the Wolves board I’d be incredibly concerned with the comments under the original post. These people aren’t ranting and raving, they’re picking apart a rot that’s some time in the making.
“A lot of progress was made by Fosun in the early days but in the Prem, just doing enough means going backwards. Midlands football needs its biggest clubs in the big league. Good luck, see you at Molineux in Feb.”
Things could now get ugly
For many fans, Saturday’s defeat against Brentford was the breaking point.
Many were frustrated by Fosun’s ownership long before this game. But many are now adamant that the club are heading nowhere fast under the Chinese conglomerate’s stewardship
Collymore is right. To do ‘just enough’ these days simply means to go backwards. Fosun had Wolves making good progress in the first few years but over the last few years the investment either just hasn’t been there, or money has not been invested correctly.
Alan Shearer pointed to a poor response to the sales of Pedro Neto and Kilman in the summer, and those are just two of many decisions Fosun have made that have resulted in the current mess.
O’Neil has made mistakes. But the rot starts at the top.
Things could now get very toxic at Molineux if things do not change, which is something that, sadly, does not seem likely.
