Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to build on their victory over Southampton by beating Newcastle United this weekend.

The three points on Sunday were a big relief given the Carabao Cup exit and loss to Brentford.

Bruno Lage really needed a win, and it was Raul Jimenez who provided a moment of magic to hand Wolves the win.

That has relieved some pressure, but it will undoubtedly crank right back up again if Wolves slip up against winless Newcastle.

The Magpies have had a really poor start to 2021/22, with Steve Bruce again under pressure from the fans.

While results are the most important thing right now, some supporters are keen for Wolves to start banging in the goals.

It’s just three in six Premier League games so far, which is not great.

One man who might increase the attacking output a little is Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The French full-back has played second fiddle to Fernando Marcal so far, playing just six minutes in the Premier League.

He started against Spurs in the Carabao Cup last week and played well.

But a challenge from Japhet Tanganga forced him off as a concussion substitute, and he subsequently missed the game against Southampton.

He’ll be available this weekend, and some fans are keen to see him start ahead of the more defensive Marcal:
