Some Wolves fans on Twitter reckon Willy Boly isn’t currently playing in his best position.

The 29-year-old has been operating as a right-sided centre-back for the most part since he returned from his ankle injury against Manchester United back in February.

While he was sidelined, Romain Saiss came into the side and did well as the left-sided centre-back, and Nuno has largely kept the Moroccan in the position since Boly returned to the side.

It’s meant that Boly has played plenty of matches of late to Conor Coady’s right.

In 2020/21 Boly has played solely in that position, but it seems some supporters on social media reckon he is better on the left side despite being right-footed.

Boly does have a strong left foot, and before Saiss came into the team the star did look very comfortable on that side.

It has appeared though that Nuno prefers the balance of having the naturally left-footed Saiss on that side and Boly on the right.

It will be interesting to see if the manager is thinking about reverting Boly back, since Saiss’ level has dropped since the Premier League opener against Sheffield United.

Some Wolves fans on Twitter certainly think left centre-back is where Boly is best:
