Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans believe Nelson Semedo has gone under the radar in recent games.
The wing-back has experienced an indifferent start to life at Molineux so far following his summer move from Barcelona.
The ace arrived with a big reputation, but also had some question marks over him regarding the defensive side of his game.
The 27-year-old has looked a little shaky in parts – the injury-time penalty he gave away against Aston Villa was not a great moment for the player.
Despite not really disproving the feelings about the defensive side of his game, Nuno Espirito Santo has shown huge faith in the Portugal international.
He’s played all but one game in the Premier League, with youngster Ki-Jana Hoever having to bide his time for regular opportunities as a result.
Recently, Semedo has found himself operating as a left wing-back.
Injuries to Rayan Ait-Nouri, Fernando Marcal and Romain Saiss have forced Nuno Espirito Santo to deploy Semedo on the opposite side in the last game-and-a-half.
The team have really been struggling as a collective, but Semedo has actually done quite well in recent weeks and especially in a position he isn’t used to.
His individual form has prompted praise from some Wolves fans on social media, with some believing he’s actually been going under the radar while the team have struggled as a collective.
He’s been very good. Had more good games than bad but you know he gets all the blame because his name isn’t Conor Coady or joao Moutinho.

Doesn’t suit the agenda if he gets any kind of praise

Definitely been our most consistent player over the last month or two. Took a while to settle in but can see a good player now.

He is doing much better, but needs to improve his end product!

He’s been really good in getting us looking forward. Issue at the moment is Adama or whoever is ahead of Semedo not making the runs to create space, one-twos or overlaps

Yes he’s been the best player at the club since Xmas

Been very good for a few months now and bounced back brilliantly from his mistake against Villa. However when people make snap judgments on players they’ll refuse to change it. Defensively been solid and now improving going forward. Definitely deserves more respect 👍🏻
