Some Wolves fans have been showing their appreciation for Nelson Semedo, after the club shared a clip of the defender getting the better of Michail Antonio.
The star has once again been a regular for Wolves this season.
He missed the first game against Leicester City after being a contact of a positive Covid test.
But he was back in against Tottenham Hotspur, and has started every league game since.
When Bruno Lage won the league title with Benfica, his full-backs were instrumental to the success of the team.
People were, therefore, exciting to see how Semedo would fare under him this term.
And so far, he has looked very good indeed.
He has been wasteful in front of goal, but Semedo has been a constant threat and a regular outlet at right wing-back.
If anything, he is giving opposition defenders a real headache ghosting into the box from those wide areas.
He’ll surely score soon if he keeps playing the way he is.
Not only is he looking threatening in attack, Semedo has been defensively sound on the whole.
Barring when he conceded a penalty against Leeds United, the former Barcelona man has been solid.
Wolves fans show their appreciation for Nelson Semedo
The club recently shared a short clip of Semedo from the West Ham game on Saturday.
It shows the 28-year-old sprinting back to cut out a pass intended for Irons striker Antonio and out-muscling him – which is no easy task.
He then gets a foot in on the Jamaica international, before celebrating as the final whistle blows.
On social media, fans have been reacting to the clip.
Lots have been showing their appreciation for a player who has seriously improved compared to this time last year.
Semedo has been so much better than he’s given credit for. Brilliant season so far from him. 👏
