Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Dion Sanderson has emerged as a transfer target for three Premier League clubs, as he continues to impress at Sunderland.
The centre-half is on a season-long loan at the Stadium of Light and has in recent weeks made a huge impression for the Black Cats.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
It took him some time, but Sanderson is now a regular in Lee Johnson’s starting XI.
He’s shown great maturity and versatility for the League One side and was recently branded a ‘Rolls Royce’ by Johnson (via Chronicle Live).
According to the Daily Mail, Sanderson’s progression has caught the attention of Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Brighton.
It was also reported by the same publication that Sunderland will explore the possibility of signing Sanderson permanently.
Some fans have been discussing the report on social media.
Given Wolves have left rather a lot to be desired at the back this season, it comes as no surprise that many are a bit worried to see interest increasing in Sanderson.
In a lot of people’s eyes, the 21-year-old deserves a chance from Nuno Espirito Santo in the first-team next season:
Sigh if we actually let him go 😔

He is future international level type of player, someone we definitely need to keep hold of.

Bring him back after loan spell is over.
Would be a more experienced player to add to the squad.— peter myers💙 (@badgerpete15) March 7, 2021
We should be giving him a chance ourselfves rather than thinking we ca sell him for 7/8 million and then goes to another club and exceeds and then ends up being a quality cb and being worth millions like Pedro gon

We would be mad to let him leave without being given a chance 🤦🏻♂️ but unfortunately I can see him being sold
