Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been discussing Conor Coady’s 2020/21 so far.
The captain has been a constant for Wolves as usual, but not quite a complete ever-present this term after he had to miss the game with Southampton back in November.

The 27-year-old was unable to feature after coming into contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid, and so Nuno – for the first time since taking over a thte club – had to name a team without his skipper.
Coady was also substituted off against West Bromwich Albion – another first under Nuno.
It’s been an interesting season for Coady.
The ex-Huddersfield Town and Liverpool man has had some brilliant outings where he has looked solid – games against Sheffield United on the opening day, Fulham and Leeds United springing to mind.

But on other occasions, especially when the manager has switched up the formation to a back four, he has not looked particularly comfortable, which is probably understandable given he is a defensive midfielder by trade.

His showing against the Baggies was quite alarming, and few could really argue with him being subbed off that day.
Coady has sometimes been criticised for his performances when playing with just one other partner, but there has also been plenty of praise for him when he’s played his usual ‘sweeper’ role.
