Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone appears set to leave Molineux in the coming days, despite only just returning.

It is being reported by the Express & Star that talks are being held over a loan move to Udinese for the remainder of the season.

Cutrone has only just returned to the Black Country after failing to get regular starts at Fiorentina.

The 23-year-old was brought back and it looked as though Nuno Espirito Santo was ready to call on him following the serious head injury to Raul Jimenez back in November.

But it looks like the picture has changed somewhat, following the loan signing of Willian Jose from Real Sociedad.

The Brazilian has joined the club until the end of the season, and it’s believed there is an option to buy.

Cutrone has made four appearances for the club since his return, including one start against Chorley in the FA Cup last week, but it seems as though he could now be heading out again.

Gianluca Di Marzio has also reported Udinese’s interest, with renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also stating talks are on – which is usually a pretty ominous sign.

On social media, news of the reported interest from Udinese has reached some Wolves supporters.

It seems that several are now feeling quite sorry for the player, who just hasn’t really ever had a proper run in the starting XI at Molineux.
