Sky Sports have spoken to South American football expert Tim Vickery about Wolves new-boy Yerson Mosquera.
He delivered a promising verdict on the new Wolves defender, who arrived from Atletico National earlier this summer.
He says that Mosquera is viewed as better than Davinson Sanchez of Tottenham.
They both came through the ranks at the same club and of course are both central defenders.

“He is another centre-back who I think is very, very interesting. He comes from Atletico Nacional,” said Vickery about Mosquera on Sky Sports News (12:38pm, August 6, 2021).
“It is the same club that produced Davinson Sanchez, who went onto Ajax and then of course to Tottenham.
“Back in Medellín, they think that Mosquera is a better version of Davinson Sanchez. He is quick, he is aggressive, he is class, he is proactive.”

Sanchez went to Ajax after leaving Colombia, before joining Tottenham for £42 million (BBC) in August 2017.
Wolves have cut out the middle man and taken him straight from Colombia into his first foray into English football.
That means they have paid far less for Mosquera than Spurs did for Sanchez, and it seems they have got a player of even higher potential.
It’ll be great to see how he gets on in the Premier League, but his debut may have to wait as he’s currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
