Simon Jordan is perplexed by the reports linking Mick Beale with the Rangers job, after hearing the reasons he gave for turning down Wolves.
In October, Wanderers approached QPR over Beale after identifying him as their new top target after being rejected by Julen Lopetegui.
Wolves rated Beale highly for the great work he had done at the club in such a short space of time.
But Beale decided to decline the opportunity and stay with QPR.
He had stated that he was committed to the project at Loftus Road and that he was thankful for them giving him a first opportunity in management.
Beale said (via talkSPORT): “Integrity is a real big thing for me and loyalty. You don’t give it to receive it back, but if those are the things you live by then at times when you are put in a position you have to be strong by them.”
But there are now reports strongly linking with the vacancy at Rangers, where he was previously the assistant manager to Steven Gerrard.
Beale was praised by a lot of people for his reasoning behind turning down Wolves, including talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan.
But Jordan has today questioned Beale over the new links.
He said (talkSPORT): “I’m perplexed as to why you’d want to be so strident in your view about integrity and then 35 days later or 40 days later, that’s now changed.
“If he now makes the decision to go to Rangers then everything I said five weeks ago would be exactly the same now.
“I did say I would be surprised If he didn’t go to Wolves and I was very pleasantly surprised that he didn’t.
“By the very nature of what you join up backwards now, something about Wolverhampton Wanderers’ conversation with Beale couldn’t have clicked and it seemingly had nothing to do with this position of ‘I want to stay at QPR’. It was probably something in the dialogue between him and Wolves.
Mick Beale is going to annoy many QPR fans if he makes Rangers move, after reasoning for turning down Wolves
TalkSPORT are saying that Beale is now expected to take the job at Ibrox.
And there’s no doubt about it – a move to the Scottish giants will leave many QPR fans livid.
He was quite definitive with his reasons for rejecting Wolves.
To join another club just weeks after those comments will leave some fans really struggling with it.
Meanwhile, many Wolves will be sitting back with the popcorn having seen Lopetegui make a U-turn on his decision to reject Wolves. That decision came out of a need to deal with a personal situation, which has apparently since eased.
