Wolves are in a real mess at the moment, with Gary O’Neil having paid the price for poor results.
Wolves sacked O’Neil after the defeat to Ipswich Town, which was the club’s fourth straight defeat in the Premier League.
Fosun had been desperate for O’Neil to turn things around, but losing at home to Ipswich proved to be the final straw.
Wolves then commenced talks with Vitor Pereira, who is expected to get the job very soon – and the Portuguese has a huge job on his hands to get Wolves away from the relegation zone.
For many, Fosun’s ownership is the biggest reason for the current mess, and many believe chairman Jeff Shi has played a big part in the club’s downfall.
Last week, Shi backed O’Neil publicly in a column for the E&S – something that left former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan baffled today.
Simon Jordan slams Jeff Shi for public backing – and then sacking – of Gary O’Neil

It felt extremely odd when the column came out last week.
Wolves were on a run of three straight defeats and the pressure on O’Neil was severe.
There were reports the club had been speaking to candidates to replace him, but Shi still gave him his vote of confidence. Days later, O’Neil was out the door.
Today on talkSPORT, Simmon Jordan gave a verdict that a lot of Wolves fans will probably agree with.
He said: “I genuinely don’t know (why he wrote the column). If you’re going to say something, then you really should be standing behind it. You know there’s a possibility that you might not get a result on the weekend. You know if Ipswich come and beat you then you’re going to be put into a question from the fans that are going to boo.
“So why write those notes, they make you look silly. They make the situation look disingenuous, they make you look like you’ve got no substance.
“If you can’t say anything that’s particularly positive about the circumstance, then it’s best to say nothing.”
Shi decision to back publicly O’Neil was baffling
Shi’s decision to back O’Neil publicly really was baffling.
He must have known that there was a very good chance Wolves would lose to Ipswich at Molineux, and that in that eventuality, everyone would be calling for him to go – again.

Fans made their feelings clear for weeks and it just made no sense whatsoever, especially with the club talking to potential replacements.
Between that, and Shi apparently not attending games recently to focus on e-sports contests, Wolves fans really are just at their wits’ end.
