Wolves have just announced Rob Edwards as their new manager, and a very interesting claim has been made about former captain Conor Coady.
Wolves have got their man, a few days after the club reached an agreement with Middlesbrough over compensation for Edwards.
The move has caused a stir, with many Boro fans very unhappy with Edwards jumping ship just months into his stint.
Edwards has also been criticised by several pundits for choosing to walk away from the Boro project.
But this was a big opportunity for Edwards, who has a strong affinity with Wolves having played for the club and held coaching roles.
It may not have come around again, so he had to take it – and he’ll now be hoping to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.
Harry Watling has followed Edwards to Wolves from Boro.
And today, there has been a fascinating claim about Conor Coady.
Wolves have held talks with Conor Coady over coaching role

Coady left Wolves in the summer of 2023, having just returned from a loan spell with Everton.
Many have wondered if one day he will come back to Molineux in some capacity.
Back in February, it was claimed Wolves looked to bring Coady back via a swap deal involving Craig Dawson, but it ultimately didn’t materialise.
Now, the Telegraph have reported that Wolves have actually held talks over a potential coaching role for Coady. Coady, of course, was playing at Wolves when Edwards was coaching.
But it’s said that this is currently unlikely.
Wolves to make more appointments in due course
At the moment, Harry Watling is the only other confirmed appointment after Edwards.
The club have said that more new faces will arrive soon.
Although it seems unlikely at the moment, Coady coming back to Wolves in a coaching role would be fascinating.
He is obviously still highly respected at Molineux and hugely popular with fans.
And we all know what a great leader he was and at the moment, there is a real lack of leadership in that dressing room.
