On-loan Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White was forced off at half-time through injury when Sheffield United took on Fulham at Craven Cottage last night.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side won 1-0 at the home of the Championship table-toppers thanks to a third minute goal by Iliman Ndiaye.
After the game, Heckingbottom was asked by Blades’ club media for an update on Gibbs-White’s injury and offered a brief update.
“We’ll have to assess him,” he said when asked about Gibbs-White. “He felt a little tweak in his knee so we’ll take no risks with him.
“When we’ve got the strength of the bench we’ve got today, it’s not a problem at all.”
When asked if it was a serious injury, he said: “We’ll see. The boys have been training really, really well so we were always thinking we had to use the whole squad over the next few games anyway.”

It is too early to tell whether Gibbs-White will be out for any length of time but with the games coming thick and fast over Christmas, Heckingbottom cannot afford to take any chances.
It is also coming to the time of year when Wolves need to decide whether to recall him from his Bramall Lane loan.
It is likely better for him to carry on playing regularly but if injuries and illnesses were to build up at Wolves, he could be recalled as cover.
Plenty will also depend on whether Bruno Lage can get a new midfielder in the transfer market when the window opens.
