Wolves lost to Liverpool at the weekend but there continues to be talk about the game after there were a few controversial decisions.
Wolves lost 2-1 to the Reds at Anfield, but gave a very good second-half performance.
Vitor Pereira’s side were slightly unlucky not to come away with any points, and just conceded poor goals and didn’t quite have enough firepower in the final third.
Matheus Cunha scored a stunning goal for Wolves to give the team hope.
But Wolves couldn’t make all the pressure they applied tell. Even though Wolves didn’t allow Liverpool to have a single shot in the second-half.
But fans were left disgruntled after the game after a number of decisions did not go Wolves’ way. After the game, Wolves fans criticised Simon Hooper for his performance, feeling he did not show enough cards to Liverpool and issued too many for Wolves players.
One included the decision to award Liverpool a penalty in the first-half for Jose Sa’s challenge on Luis Diaz.
And one man who feels that Wolves were done over is Shaka Hislop.
Shaka Hislop adamant Liverpool shouldn’t have been awarded a penalty against Wolves

In the first-half, with Liverpool already 1-0 up in the game after a goal by Luis Diaz, Liverpool then got a penalty.
He was played through, and Sa then challenged the forward, bringing him down.
Replays showed that there was very minimal contact, but something people have looked at is the contract Diaz made with Emmanuel Agbadou just before.
It appeared that Diaz gave Agbadou a nudge to create the space – and Hislop couldn’t believe the Wolves players didn’t really appeal the decision.
He said on a video or ESPN FC: “That absolutely was a foul – Luis Diaz on Agbadou in the build-up.
“The amazing thing for me watching it was that none of the Wolves players seemed to draw the referee’s attention to that.
“Now I’m going to freely assume that VAR had a look at the entire play and decided it was fine. But what I saw, that without question should have been ruled off.”
This particular decision has divided opinion.
At half-tie on Sky Sports, pundits Jamie Redknapp and Jermain Defoe disagreed over the Liverpool penalty decision, with Redknapp suggesting it was a foul but Defoe believes it was clever play from Diaz.
Wolves stung at Anfield – and not for the first time
VAR surely looked at the entire phase of play, and likely deemed that the contact from Diaz on Agbadou just wasn’t enough.
It was then deemed that Sa made enough contact with Diaz to warrant a penalty being given.
Perhaps if the Wolves players had made a bigger deal of Diaz making contact with Agbadou, then there might have been a different outcome.
But the fact there was no appeal perhaps meant that wasn’t looked into very forensically.
So Wolves again came away from Anfield having felt frustrated. Who could forget the goal that Toti Gomes scored in an FA Cup tie a couple of seasons ago, when it was ruled out to an offside against Matheus Nunes but TV cameras couldn’t even pick up his position?
