Wolves took a point against Newcastle United yesterday in the Premier League – and former captain Conor Coady was left very impressed by one Molineux star in particular.
Gary O’Neil’s side are now five games unbeaten in the league.
Wolves went 1-0 behind when Callum Wilson took advantage of some poor goalkeeping from Jose Sa.
But Wanderers got back on level terms when Mario Lemina headed home a Pedro Neto corner.
Wolves then conceded an extremely harsh penalty, with Hwang Hee-chan adjudged to have fouled Fabian Schar.
Replays showed Schar initiated contact with Hwang, who had stopped short of kicking him.
Wilson converted the spot-kick, but Wolves levelled again through Hwang in the second-half.
There was concern in the second-half when star man Neto left the field on a stretcher with an apparent hamstring injury.
It was a great team performance – and Coady has moved to praise Toti Gomes, who turned in another impressive display at the back.
Conor Coady sends message to Toti Gomes on Instagram after his display from Wolves against Newcastle
Toti was starting for the fourth consecutive Premier League game for Wolves.
His impact on the team has been clear, with Wolves not losing since his integration.

Yesterday, he operated on the left. Sometimes he tucked in and made a back three. And other times he played as a left-back with Rayan Ait-Nouri ahead of him as a winger.
He was solid, as is usually the case when he plays.
And Toti also showcased technical brilliance, beating two Newcastle players with great footwork before slipping Hwang in for the second Wolves goal.
His performance struck a chord with Coady, who commented on Toti’s latest Instagram post: “Sensational my brother.”
Nice to see Coady still watching Wolves, and what a player Toti is
Many Wolves fans are likely to agree with Coady’s sentiments about Toti.
It’s nice to see the former captain – now of Leicester City – still taking an interest in his former club.

Coady clearly rates Toti highly, and if he keeps this kind of form up then it won’t be long before a lot more people view him as a top defender.
Toti is a brilliant player. Whenever he comes in for Wolves, he does a job.
It is fantastic to see him get a run of starts because it’s no less than he deserves for how hard he works.
Hopefully, he continues to play because Wolves are a more solid outfit for having him on the pitch.
