‘Send an extra £100m to Wolves’… Man City fans make their thoughts on Rayan Ait-Nouri’s debut clear

Manchester City fans have shared their feedback about Rayan Ait-Nouri’s debut.

For the first time since leaving Wolves, Ait-Nouri returned to domestic action to play 90 minutes in Man City’s Club World Cup win over Al-Ain.

The Premier League giants won 6-0 over Al-Ain in a game that saw Ait-Nouri win over Pep Guardiola, who shared glowing praise for the former Wolves star.

Wolves fans were furious with Ait-Nouri’s transfer price, and might be even more frustrated when learning what City fans thought of the Algerian’s debut.

Manchester City fans share Rayan Ait-Nouri verdict

The 24-year-old completed his move to Man City two weeks ago, and already, he’s made quite an impression on both his new manager and fans.

Reacting on X to the Algeria international’s performance against Al-Ain, City fans were completely won over by their new signing.

“We need to sign more Rayans,” one said, as another named the former Wolf in their dream back four alongside fellow ex-Wolves ace Matheus Nunes.

“Nunes  Dias  Gvardiol  Ait-Nouri. Should be our defence …. They literally play the ball out of there heart… with soo much enthusiasm.”

“Rayan Ait-Nouri is joy,” one supporter wrote, but another had one issue with the player’s performance.

“He’s so good for front but not defensively. Pep should convert him to a proper winger.”

Wolves fans weren’t wowed by Ait-Nouri’s defending at times, making the feedback understandable.

Comments on the defender’s lack of stability weren’t the only reactions Wolves fans would’ve anticipated, as his versatility was the highlight.

“I have tears in my life. We have a winger, wide midfielder and left back in 1 player.”

Another said, “Ait-Nouri is that guy. He has it all.”

Already, some City fans class Ait-Nouri as the “Best lb in the world”, while another dubbed the Algerian ‘unbelievable’.

“One of the best players on the pitch from start to finish…played like he had a point to prove and we saw it. He belongs Here.”

City fans certainly think Ait-Nouri ‘belongs’ in Guardiola’s squad, which led others to comment on the price that the club signed the left-back for.

“We need to send an extra £100m to Wolves.”

Wolves handed Man City a bargain with Ait-Nouri transfer

Wolves fans have no complaints about how Ait-Nouri reacted to his transfer, as the Algerian has mentioned the Old Gold with the utmost respect whenever asked about his exit.

What has roused Wolves supporters on social media is how slim the 24-year-old’s exit fee was.

The defender’s transfer to City was sanctioned for just £36m, a price that left Wolves fans furious at how low Ait-Nouri was valued.

It was a bargain for City but a staggering loss for Wolves, not just financially but on the pitch too.

That being said, in an alternate view, there can be little complaints about Ait-Nouri’s price tag, as the full-back had just one year remaining on his Wolves contract.

City fans are overjoyed by their new acquisition, while Wolves fans watch their former superstar shine from a distance, hoping that the Old Gold can sufficiently replace him.
