Scott Parker delivers Vitor Pereira verdict amid doubts over Wolves future

Vitor Pereira is under immense pressure at Wolves as they look to change their fortunes in the relegation fight, and Scott Parker has delivered his verdict on the 57-year-old.

The Burnley boss is well accustomed to being in relegation battles, having done so with Fulham on two occasions, and will be able to relate to the situation the Wolves man finds himself in.

At present, Vitor Pereira’s future is up in the air, and slowly fans are starting to lose patience with the head coach.

There is certainly still time for things to turn around, but the early signs point to a disappointing season for the Old Gold, culminating in relegation.

Vitor Pereira has also addressed questions on feeling pressure, but the Wolves head coach’s answer was not well received.

Scott Parker has sympathised with Vitor Pereira’s position but believes things can still turn around for him at Wolves.

The Old Gold are winless in eight Premier League games and currently have just two points before their clash against Burnley.

Speaking ahead of the game, Clarets boss Scott Parker talked about Vitor Pereira and delivered a praiseful outlook.

Parker said via Burnley Express, “He’s a top coach, which we saw last year, and certainly you see elements this year. They’ve changed shape a little bit.

“He’s in a situation at this present moment in time, but he’ll be sitting there knowing that he’s two positive results away, which can happen in a space of 10 days.

“It can all change with everything being a bit quieter on his side. We all sit in a position knowing that that’s the role we live in.”

Scott Parker has a terrible record against Wolves, and that will hopefully continue. The Old Gold are desperate to start winning games, and Burnley are a great chance to kickstart their season into gear.

This match has multiple permutations for both sides, and it could be a cagey affair.

Result of Wolves vs Burnley can be season-defining.

If Wolves lose to Burnley, that would be a disaster.

The next games after the Clarets are all against teams you would typically expect to be battling at the top half of the table.

Fulham have been a surprise addition to the bottom of the league so far, but you would still believe they will turn things around due to the quality in their squad and the good reputation that Marco Silva has.

Beating Burnley is Vitor Pereira’s best chance at a win before December.

Additionally, Burnley will be looking to pull further away from Wolves, and a win would leave them eight points clear of the Wanderers.

It would also provide Scott Parker’s side with a bigger cushion from the bottom three and give them confidence moving forward.

There is a lot at stake for this game, and let’s hope the Old Gold come out on the better side.
