Sasa Kalajdzic will hope for much better luck in 2025/26, with the striker having had a torrid spell at Wolves so far.
The Austria international joined Wolves in 2022 in a £15 million deal from Stuttgart, and it was hoped he would be the man to succeed Raul Jimenez at Molineux.
Jimenez struggled to recapture his form after the awful head injury he suffered, and also had fitness problems at the time.
Sadly though, Kalajdzic suffered an ACL injury in his Premier League debut against Southampton.
Then, cruelly, Kalajdzic would sustain a second injury while playing on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.
He has missed so much football since signing for Wolves, and naturally, there have been question marks about his future this summer.
Kalajdzic has been tipped for a loan move and while that is still a possibility, it may not be as nailed on.
Sasa Kalajdzic’s Instagram post could point to Wolves stay

Everyone associated with Wolves wants to see things work out for Kalajdzic.
He has been so unlucky, and it’s horrible for a player as nice and highly thought of at the club as he is, to have hardly played.
With Wolves having struggled to bring in players this summer, his exit from the club is perhaps not as likely as maybe a couple of months ago.
Kalajdzic has actually done well in pre-season as well.
Against Celta Vigo, Wolves fans praised Kalajdzic’s cameo, and before that, the goal Kalajdzic scored against Santa Clara also went down well, with some noting he looked sharp.
Kalajdzic recently posted on Instagram, and his message about how he’s currently feeling will go down well with fans. He also may have hinted at a possible stay.
He wrote: “Pre-season (crossed out) feeling 10/10 – let’s get the season started 💪🏼 @wolves.”
Kalajdzic could have something to offer Wolves
Wolves are probably still looking at other striker options in the transfer market, but Kalajdzic could still stay.
Earlier this summer, Kalajdzic did himself hint that a loan exit could be on the cards.
But posting ‘Let’s get the season started’ and then tagging Wolves could well be a hint that he’s either been told he’ll be staying, or that he’s ready to stay.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but it would be great if he became a genuine option for Pereira after all he’s been through.
The Austrian’s hold-up play is fairly solid, and we know he can finish well – in his 14 appearances for Wolves he’s scored three goals, and that finished against Santa Clara was very slick.
