Speaking on Wolves’ Premier League survival chances, former Wolves midfielder Matt Jarvis and veteran manager Sam Allardyce agree on what will keep them up.
Starting the season with three straight losses, Wolves can’t have any qualms with people doubting their ability to avoid relegation this season.
Many pundits have tipped Vitor Pereira’s side for the drop.

But there is hope, and Sam Allardyce and Matt Jarvis think one factor in particular will save Wolves this season.
Sam Allardyce and Matt Jarvis say Vitor Pereira is Wolves’ X-factor
The two Premier League veterans sat down to discuss a whole host of football-related topics on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast.
One topic of discussion was Wolves, and whether they can stay in the Premier League this season.
Jarvis was first up, assured in his answer: “Yes, I do. I think I think the manager has a huge influence, and I think he’s been very good since he’s come in.
“I think with the players that he needed to make last season work with, he did, and I think he’s just got that presence that I think he’ll be able to do it.”
Allardyce was in full agreement, heaping praise on the Portuguese boss: “He’s got character. He has. Yeah, it oozes out of him. When I watch him, I go, ‘Yeah, he can affect the players like he’s got really, really good character by the looks of it.’
“So, good luck to him. Good luck to Wolves.”
Wolves have a massive few weeks ahead of them in the Premier League
Some aren’t so sure about Wolves, and it’s hard to blame them. But it’s still so early in the season to feel confident in what will happen.

Pereira’s side face the three promoted teams in that stretch, in what needs to be treated like a mini-league if we are being realistic.
Three wins from three would be ideal of course, but any less than two would be the catalyst for alarm bells to start ringing around Molineux.
As Allardyce and Jarvis rightly point out, Pereira will be key. He needs to get a tune out of this team, and quick. If last season is anything to go on, he will.
