Ruben Amorim particularly impressed by ‘amazing’ thing Vitor Pereira is doing at Wolves

Wolves are aiming to make it five Premier League wins in a row when the Old Gold visit Old Trafford.

After the highs of Wolves’ 4-2 win against Tottenham, the desire to end the season in remarkable form is even greater.

Wolves are almost mathematically safe from relegation, something Vitor Pereira deserves immense credit for after taking charge of the squad in December.

The Old Gold could leapfrog West Ham and Spurs in the Premier League table with a win against Manchester United, in what is set to be a thriller at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim shares Wolves assessment

Wolves will have a good chance to beat Man United, as manager Ruben Amorim plans to rotate his squad following the Red Devils’ 120-minute clash with Lyon on Thursday night.

Such could give the Old Gold an advantage at Old Trafford, but admittedly, there’s a belief that the West Midlands club could take the game to Amorim’s side with or without rotation.

Pereira’s squad are full of confidence after Wolves made Premier League history by securing four wins in a row for the first time ever, in what has been an impressive turnaround.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Wolves’ trip to Old Trafford, Amorim was full of praise for Pereira and the work he’s done at Molineux.

“I think he is doing an amazing job,” Amorim said before applauding Pereira for getting the most out of his players.

“He is playing 3-4-3, he is doing quite well, and he is changing some players. He has really quality players. Cunha, all these guys, they have a real quality, they are fresh so we know that it is going to be a tough match.”

Chris Sutton believes Wolves have a better team than Man United, as the Old Gold hope to do the double over the Red Devils for the first time since 1979/80.

How Amorim compares to Vitor Pereira in the Premier League

The Man United boss spoke highly of his opponent, and Pereira was complimentary of Amorim also.

It’s been a strangely similar season for the two coaches, who were called into action at difficult times at their respective clubs.

To the surprise of some, it’s been Pereira who has had a better start to life in the Premier League, securing more points than Amorim in five games fewer.

On Sunday afternoon, the two Portuguese managers will go head to head again, with three points on the line in the run-in to the end of the season.
