Roy Keane expects Wolves to do one thing vs Newcastle as Ian Wright changes his mind

Roy Keane and Ian Wright have delivered their verdict on Newcastle vs Wolves, and the Irishman expects Wolves to do one thing against Eddie Howe’s side.

The Newcastle boss has a great record vs Wolves, making Saturday’s clash all the more difficult for Vitor Pereira and his side.

Additionally, while typically losing a player like Alexander Isak would be a boost for the opposition, Newcastle had a strong end to their transfer window.

Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade were signed in the final days and hours of the window, giving the Toon that much-needed firepower up top.

Wolves, on the other hand, had a quiet ending, although the arrival of Tolu Arokodare will excite many.

The Old Gold have yet to pick up any points, and Newcastle have yet to win, leaving both sides desperate to secure all three points.

Roy Keane expects Wolves to score, but predicts them to lose vs Newcastle

Ahead of the weekend’s games, Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Jill Scott, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher sat down to give their predictions for some of the upcoming games.

Up first was Newcastle vs Wolves, and Roy Keane insisted that Wolves would do something against the Toon that Ian Wright didn’t agree with.

Speaking on the Overlap, the Irishman said ‘2 or 3-1, we give Wolves a goal,’ before Ian Wright predicted a 3-0 win for Newcastle.

Keane was insistent on what he thought saying ‘Wolves will get a goal,’ and the pair eventually landed on predicting a 2-1 loss for the Old Gold.

Wolves have scored just two goals in the Premier League so far, and will be sweating on an injury update for their star striker.

Jorgen Strand Larsen returned from international duty early, as he has been struggling with an achilles injury.

The Norwegian most recently missed Wolves’ game against Everton, where Pereira’s side could have had a draw.

A recent panel suggested VAR was wrong to not intervene to give a Wolves penalty, with the game being 3-2 at the time.

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville predict a 3-0 loss for Wolves

On the other side of the table, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville weren’t quite as positive as Keane and Wright in Wolves’ chances of scoring.

The punditry duo both agreed that Wolves would lose 3-0.

Carragher pointed to the Isak saga, and used that as reasoning for the high-scoring win for Newcastle.

He said, ‘Newcastle have two new strikers, that energy, Isak is gone. 3-0.’

Wolves are heading to St. James’ Park as the heavy underdogs. The Molineux side need to start picking up points, and a result against Newcastle would go a long way in building confidence.

Tony Pulis expects it to be a close game, and that would be an ideal scenario for Vitor Pereira.

Fans will certainly hope their side can prove the Overlap cast wrong on their predictions
