Wolves summer arrival Rodrigo Gomes returned to the starting XI for the Old Gold’s win against Fulham.
It was a memorable afternoon for the Midlands club in the capital as Wolves dismantled Fulham 4-1 at Craven Cottage.
The victory was Wolves’ first win away from home in the Premier League in nine months, recording back-to-back league wins for the first time in 2024/25.
Matheus Cunha was the star of the show against Fulham however, it was an outing to remember for a list of players.

Away from the goals and star performances was Rodrigo Gomes, who had a day to remember as he was restored to the starting XI.
It was the summer signing’s first Premier League start since the opening day against Arsenal, with his minutes reduced since August.
Gomes played 89 minutes against Fulham, his longest time on the pitch for some time considering he’s picked up just 43 minutes in the league since the season opener at the Emirates.
Despite Gomes struggling to secure game time, the versatile wide player was delighted with his side’s performance at Craven Cottage.
“We won at home to Southampton which gave us more confidence, we entered this game to win and it’s very nice for us to win. Now we enjoy the win, rest and prepare for Bournemouth to win again,” Gomes said to Wolves’ media team.
The 21-year-old went on to make a promise to Wolves fans following his second Premier League start, showing his humble and loveable nature.
“It’s very good for me, it’s a pleasure to play here for Wolves in the Premier League. I will give everything every game, if I play 90 minutes or five minutes, I will give everything to help the team.”
Gomes should be proud of Fulham display
It was a big ask for Gomes to come into the XI and play at a venue as challenging as Craven Cottage.
The youngster certainly proved that he can keep his Wolves promise as he put in a real shift on the flank when resources in O’Neil’s side were low.

Gomes is still incredibly raw as expected from a player who isn’t playing much however, he handled the pressure very well, as his numbers portrayed.
The decision for O’Neil now is to decide how to further develop the summer signing, who certainly has the ability and mentality to flourish at Molineux if he is given the platform.
