Wolves are reaping the benefits of signing Rodrigo Gomes in the summer transfer window.
The versatile wide player is going from strength to strength under Vitor Pereira, being a reliable threat in the Wolves squad.
Gomes shone against Bristol City in the FA Cup, as Wolves progressed by beating the Robins 2-1 away from home.
Rayan Ait-Nouri opened the scoring before Pereira’s other wing-back scored, seeing Gomes net his second Wolves goal.

Gary O’Neil signed Gomes however, the Englishman had an opposing view of the player to Pereira.
Such was highlighted after the FA Cup win, as Pereira’s comments on Gomes were the opposite of O’Neil’s earlier in the season.
Gomes’ place in the Wolves squad is deserved, with there even a claim for the 21-year-old to grow into the starting XI based on his recent performances.
While fans are enjoying what the summer arrival has to offer, the player himself wants to do more for Wolves, as he admitted after the Bristol City win.
“It’s very good for me, playing since the first day at Leicester, I scored and since I’ve come in every game, and started against Nottingham Forest,” Gomes told the media, via Express and Star.
“Now I’ve played again and scored, so it’s very good for me. I love to play, to help the team, to score and make assists. I haven’t got an assist yet, but I will for sure. I love playing and helping the team.”
The youngster shared his determination to contribute with assists, promising supporters that he will set up a goal before the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 21-year-old is hungry to achieve more, which sums up the bright talent Wolves acquired in the summer transfer window.
Gomes snubbed Atletico Madrid to sign for Wolves, which was the right decision for the player and the Old Gold, who are benefitting from his presence.
