Wolves secured a much-needed win against Leicester City in what was Vitor Pereira’s first game in charge.
Wolves fans serenaded Pereira moments into his Premier League debut on the touchline, as the Portuguese oversaw a 3-0 win.
Pereira made history on his Wolves debut, as the Old Gold dominated the Foxes to take a 3-0 lead into half-time.
Goalscorers Goncalo Guedes and Matheus Cunha added to their tallies this season however, it was a career-first when Rodrigo Gomes found the back of the net.

Rodrigo Gomes shares Vitor Pereira verdict
It’s been a trialling time for Gomes, who arrived in the summer from SC Braga and has had to be patient to earn minutes.
Gomes turned down Atletico Madrid to join Wolves and now, he’s finally seeing that it was the correct decision.
The 21-year-old wheeled away in celebration as he scored his first Premier League goal and in reflection of the match, waxed lyrical about the impact of his new boss.
“He’s [Pereira] been very good, amazing, and we worked on what we needed to improve and I think we improved a lot in this game,” Gomes said of Pereira to Express and Star.
While Gomes was one of Wolves’ top performers against Leicester, the youngster made it clear that the hard work can’t stop after the dominant win.
“Now we have to keep working and keep pushing every day. It was three days of hard work and three different days, but we played better and we deserved the win. That’s all that matters.”
It’s clear that the new Wolves manager has already had a significant impact on the squad, who were evidently in desperate need of change behind the scenes.

Pereira can hand Gomes the platform to shine
It was refreshing to see Gomes get on the scoresheet in what was only his fourth Premier League start in a Wolves shirt.
Gomes shone in pre-season under Gary O’Neil however, the former boss had clear reservations when it came to giving the 21-year-old game time.
Things have changed quickly for the versatile wide player as a result of Pereira’s arrival, now being handed the chance to shine in the Premier League – a level he’s more than capable of playing at.
After some suspected that Gomes could leave Wolves in January in search of more game time, the tables have turned and now, Pereira could reap the benefits of putting faith in the summer signing.
