Wolves have been without Rodrigo Gomes recently, and the Portuguese wide man last night gave fans an update on his condition.
Rodrigo Gomes is currently the only player out injured for Wolves, with Matt Doherty appearing to have now recovered from his knee issue.
Rodrigo sustained his groin injury against Chelsea before the international break, and it was a frustrating blow as he’d just come on midway through the first-half to replace Doherty. He was forced off at half-time.
The youngster underwent surgery, and the club have not expected him to feature again this year.
But last night, Rodrigo did share a positive update with fans.
Rodrigo Gomes already back on the grass at Compton

Losing Rodrigo was far from ideal for Wolves.
He had shown positive signs in the early weeks of the season, helping himself to a couple of goals.
He was one of Wolves’ liveliest players, so to lose him during a real creativity crisis was unfortunate.
It is still going to be a while before we see Rodrigo back in a Wolves shirt, and he will not be involved against Aston Villa this weekend. But last night, he took to his socials to show supporters that he has at least now returned to the Compton Park training pitches.
He uploaded a video to his Instagram Story of him doing some individual ball work with a coach.
He also included the caption: “3 weeks and 2 days since surgery. Working hard to be back with the team (as) soon as possible 🙏⏳”
Rodrigo Gomes’ injury timeframe
A few weeks ago, Wolves’ director of performance Phil Hayward offered a rough timeframe for Rodrigo’s recovery from injury.
He stated: “Sort of ballpark around the 8 to 12 week mark. You know, things go really well, maybe towards the early side of that, but obviously, always being cautious not to push too quickly.”

That was a somewhat positive update, as it was initially feared that Rodrigo was looking at a four-month lay off.
He may well still need that much time to fully recover. But with AFCON coming up meaning Jackson Tchatchoua will be going away, Wolves will hope to see some rapid recovery from Rodrigo.
