Wolves take on Everton tonight in the Premier League, and ahead of the clash Rob Edwards spoke about returnee Pedro Lima.
Lima has come back to Wolves following a loan spell with FC Porto.
The Brazilian youngster was meant to be spending the full campaign with the Portuguese giants, but has been recalled as Wolves deliberate their next move.
Presenting Molineux News’ predicted Wolves XI to face Everton! 🐺
Thoughts on this team Wolves fans, would you make any changes? 🤔
Initially, the plan was for Lima to play for Porto’s B team and then move into the first-team.
But he didn’t end up playing for the first-team and so, Wolves have decided to bring him back to Compton.
Given the struggles of Jackson Tchatchoua and Ki-Jana Hoever, some have wondered if Lima could be set for a chance with Wolves now – and ahead of facing Everton, Rob Edwards has spoken about that very possibility.

Pedro Lima travels with Wolves to Everton as Rob Edwards drops verdict

Lima signed for Wolves in the summer of 2024, arriving from Brazilian club Sport Recife.
The Old Gold had snared him from the clutches of Chelsea, and it was felt that Lima could eventually become the long term successor to Nelson Semedo.
But last season he didn’t feature much and so, it was decided he’d be loaned out for 2025/26.
He’s back now though, and Rob Edwards has named him in the travelling squad to face Everton.
But the Wolves manager may not play him just yet, telling the media (via E&S): “We’ll see. I had a quick chat with him today.
“He’s impressed in the couple of days that he’s been in
What should Wolves do with Pedro Lima this month?🤔
“What we want to try and do is look at him and we’ll try and make the right call for us, but also for his progression as well going forward.
“We’ll probably take a few weeks on that as well.
“We understand if he does play for us, then that rules out anything else in terms of him going out, so we’ll have to make the right call on that.
“We’ll see over the next few weeks.”
Lima unlikely to play vs Everton
He may have travelled with the squad, but it is probably unlikely that Lima has any kind of involvement against Everton, as much as some fans would love that.
He’s only just come back, and Edwards probably needs to get a better look at him on the training pitches at Compton before throwing him into Premier League games.

Of course as Edwards says, the moment Lima steps onto the pitch for Wolves rules out any more moves away from the club, since he’ll have played for two clubs in one season.
There’s the FA Cup game with Shrewsbury Town coming up at the weekend which could be an opportunity for Lima.
But if he does play in that Wolves will have to keep him, so we’ll see what Edwards decides to do.
