Hugo Bueno has not started a game under Rob Edwards at Wolves, and now the head coach has told him how he can make his way into the starting XI.
The Spaniard was one of the better performers under Vitor Pereira earlier in the season, and statistics show that Bueno is outperforming every Premier League full-back in three areas.
However, David Moller Wolfe has been preferred over recent weeks, and it seems that the Norwegian is currently the number one choice.
Rob Edwards has now rubbished those suggestions, and he insists that Bueno can still become a regular in this Wolves team.

Rob Edwards tells Hugo Bueno how to get back into Wolves’ starting XI
Ahead of playing Manchester United, Rob Edwards has spoken about the battle for places between Hugo Bueno and David Moller Wolfe.
It is a selection headache that he welcomes, and the head coach insists he likes the qualities that both players have to offer.
Bueno has been out injured, and the status of his fitness for Monday night’s fixture is still unknown, but whoever starts at left wing-back will have one of the tougher battles.
Wolves have the tough task of stopping Bryan Mbeumo from inflicting more damage against them. If Hugo Bueno is fit, would you start him over David Moller Wolfe?
Now, Edwards has talked about Hugo Bueno dropping out of the side, but he has said he has not lost his place; rather, he needs to fight to get in the side.
Edwards said (via Express and Star), “I think it’s a really good battle, those two. I don’t see him as losing his place. I just think right now, go and fight and go and get in the team. Wolfie was actually one of the positives (against Forest), especially in the second half.
“I thought he showed a lot of fight and courage. But look, I like Hugo as well, so it’s not a case of him being out or anything like that. Not at all. The lads that are not starting at the moment just show that fight and get in the team.”
With Ruben Amorim worried about set-pieces, how should Rob Edwards set up?👀
Battle for places a good sign for Wolves
If players are fighting for their spot in the starting XI, that can only be a good thing.
Competition breeds excellence, and if certain players are not willing to put their all into training and into games, then they should not be at Wolves in the first place.
Hugo Bueno has already shown grit and determination this season, so this should not be much of a challenge for him.
The Spaniard will have to wait for his opportunity, but based on his work this campaign, he will likely take it with both hands.
It will be interesting to see if that opportunity can come as soon as against Manchester United, as Rob Edwards has already told his players what he expects vs the Red Devils.
