Wolves are looking to put the defeat to Crystal Palace behind them, and Rob Edwards has received an early boost ahead of the Aston Villa match.
Rob Edwards took his first game against the Eagles on Saturday, but could not get off to the dream start he’d been hoping for.
The Old Gold lost 2-0 at Molineux, although there were some positive signs for the new manager.
Ultimately, Edwards did not have the best of weeks preparing, as a number of his players got back late from international duty.
But Edwards can now prepare for Villa with mostly everyone – and the latest training photos show that the manager has received a boost.
Matt Doherty is back in Wolves training ahead of Aston Villa clash

The fixture list does not let up for Wolves.
On Sunday, Wolves take on Aston Villa at Villa Park, and it is simply a far from ideal game.
Villa started the season slowly but are now on fire, and their 2-1 win over Leeds United at the weekend lifted them to fourth in the Premier League table.
It will take a colossal effort for Wolves to win, but we will see if Edwards can pull something out of the bag.
Ahead of the game, there’s good news for Edwards because Matt Doherty has returned to training for Wolves. This, after Doherty wasn’t seen in training leading up to the Palace game.
He sustained a minor knee injury before the international break, which caused Doherty to miss Wolves’ last two Premier League games.
But Wolves’ latest training gallery shows him with the squad on the outdoor pitches at Compton Park.
Doherty has good chance to start vs Aston Villa
There is a strong chance that we see Doherty starting for Wolves this weekend against Aston Villa.
It looks like he’ll have a full week of training under his belt, so potentially he’ll be ready to come back into the starting XI.
Doherty already has a good relationship with Edwards.
The Irishman played under Edwards when he took interim charge of the first-team back in 2016, and is certainly a fan of this appointment.

Doherty has told Edwards he can lean on him for support.
And one would imagine the new manager will look to call on his leadership as much as possible.
We may see him play on the right of a back three with Emmanuel Agbadou and Ladislav Krejci each shifting over one position.
Or we could even see Doherty play at right wing-back or right back, with Jackson Tchatchoua failing to take his chance against Crystal Palace.
