Wolves take on Nottingham Forest shortly – and Morgan Gibbs-White is likely to receive a cold reception.
Wolves are again looking for their first win of the season in the Premier League, and there is actually some optimism.
Wanderers looked good in parts against Aston Villa, and Rob Edwards will be keen to see that replicated tonight.
There is potential for this game to get a bit feisty.
Our predicted Wolves XI to face Nottingham Forest! 🐺
There’s been one or two scuffles in this fixture, and someone who is no stranger to doing a bit of winding up is Morgan Gibbs-White.
Gibbs-White has previously provoked Wolves fans by putting his fingers in his ears in front of them after scoring, so he can expect a fairly cold reception tonight once again.
And Edwards was asked about whether his presence could actually be a boost for Wolves.
Rob Edwards gives diplomatic response to Morgan Gibbs-White panto villain question

Gibbs-White should feature tonight after Dyche gave a positive injury update on the midfielder on Monday.
He had gone off injured against Brighton, but appears to have recovered ready to face his old club for what will be the seventh time as a Forest player since his Molineux exit.
Edwards was asked at his press conference if Gibbs-White’s pantomime villain status will help give Wolves a boost tonight.
Smiling, the Wolves manager responded diplomatically (via E&S): “Potentially. I get it. We will take anything we can at the moment.
“Firstly, we need to do our job. If we do our job well, the crowd will be with us.
“If we can build on what we saw on Sunday, I am pretty sure the crowd will be with us.”
Wolves must nullify Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White is bound to be jeered this evening, and the crowd will surely be louder than usual. There is just something about this fixture these days, even though Wolves and Nottingham Forest isn’t really a known rivalry.
It isn’t just the Gibbs-White factor. Who could forget the time Forest infamously tweeted ‘Playtime’, only for Wolves to win the game and clap back with ‘Playtime’s over’.
The Wolves players have to make sure they respond to the crowd noise, and they also have to make sure that Gibbs-White himself is kept in check.
Throwback to when Wolves left Nottingham Forest red-faced on social media 🤣
As much as some Wolves fans love to hate him, there’s no denying he is a great player and as we’ve seen in the past, he has the potential to do harm.
So the likes of Andre and Joao Gomes will have an important job tonight.
The Old Gold cannot afford to leave Gibbs-White in space in and around the box. Otherwise we could again be seeing that celebration and absolutely no one of a Wolves persuasion wants to see that.
