Wolves played out a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and there was another instance of Wolves being denied a penalty.
Daniel Podence equalised late in the game, after Wolves fell behind to a first-half goal from Brennan Johnson.

It was a poor performance from Wolves, especially in the first-half.
In the second, Wolves improved. But it was still a real struggle for the team to really threaten Keylor Navas.
In the end, Podence’s goal was the only shot Wolves had on goal in the entire game.
Ultimately, most fans are relatively pleased with the point considering how the game panned out. It cannot really be argued that Wolves deserved anything more.
At one point in the game, Wolves appeared to be stung by another poor refereeing decision.
In the 52nd minute, Adama Traore went down under a challenge from Felipe.
The Brazilian put his hand on Traore’s shoulder and then bundled him over.

The fury of not getting the decision prompted some ugly scenes down on the touchline. In the end, Wolves coach Pablo Sanz and Forest’s Alan Tate were both dismissed.
The challenge on Traore was definitely contentious.
In the eyes of broadcaster Keys, it should have been given as penalty. And the 65-year-old lamented the officiating in Wolves games of late.
He wrote on Twitter: “I don’t know what Wolves have got to do to get a decision from any official right now. Somehow Chris Kavanagh and his boss Neil Swarbrick have both turned down a nailed on pen for Traore at Forest. It’s incredible.”
Officiating in Wolves games has been highly questionable, but Wanderers just need to be better
There is no doubt about it – since Julen Lopetegui came in at Wolves, the standard of officiating in Wolves games has been very poor.
Certainly, Wolves have 100% been stung a few times now.

But while this is hugely annoying, it is even more frustrating to watch how Wolves are playing right now.
If Wolves improve and become much more up for the fight, then these points of contention will pale into insignificance.
