Wolves have reportedly made ‘a conscious decision’ to draw a line under the issues they have had with the PGMOL this season.
Wanderers have been on the receiving end of some horrendous decisions in 2022/23.

Strangely, they all seem to have happened on Julen Lopetegui’s watch.
The Spaniard arrived at the club in November – and there have been around five or six calls now that have gone against Wolves.
Wolves fans have been massively frustrated seeing such incompetence from referees.
And Lopetegui himself has also cut a very agitated figure at times on the touchline, which has resulted in him getting booked a few times.
Sky reporter and Wolves fan Johnny Phillips wrote a column for the Express & Star over the weekend. The focus of the article was about about the manager has changed the culture at Molineux.
He touched on the issues Wolves have had with refereeing decisions and the PGMOL this season.

But he suggests that Wolves have had a look at themselves and are actively trying not to get involved in disagreements and letting things boil over.
He said: “A conscious decision was made at the top to draw a line under the issues with the PGMOL. Lopetegui accepted that the management’s touchline behaviour caused more problems than it solved.
“They have stepped back and, as we saw against Brentford, while there are still big decisions being made by officials that are questionable, there is a more circumspect approach now when dealing with bad calls.”
This is the right thing for Wolves and Lopetegui to do, but referees simply must improve
Sometimes this season, things have gotten a bit out of hand. To the point where Wolves have really suffered on the pitch.
The players and the management team getting embroiled in disagreements only serves to reduce focus.
So it is right that a conscious decision has been made to keep a lid on things.

That said, the PGMOL need to get their referees in check because some of the decisions made this season have been a disgrace.
And it’s not just in games involving Wolves.
The Premier League is probably the best in the world in terms of its entertainment factor and the quality players and managers that are here.
But the officials are catastrophically bad at the moment. And the problem needs addressing in the summer ahead of 2023/24.
