Rayan Ait-Nouri has ‘a feeling’ about the rest of the season for Wolves – fans will love it

Rayan Ait-Nouri was the catalyst behind Wolves’ win over Tottenham at Molineux.

Wolves are unbeaten in their previous five Premier League games, meaning one would have to rewind to February to recount the last time the Old Gold lost in the league.

The latest win against Tottenham saw Vitor Pereira write his name into Wolves’ history, becoming the first manager to guide his team to four Premier League wins on the bounce.

Though Pereira deserves all the credit for Wolves’ resurgence this season, a lot of praise must be directed to the squad, who have adapted seamlessly.

Rayan Ait-Nouri expects Wolves’ form to continue

In Wolves’ 4-2 win over Tottenham, the boost in performance level in the squad was on show for all to see.

Aside from putting chances to score away, Wolves marshalled Spurs well at the back, seeing Emmanuel Agbadou earn high praise from fans

The Ivorian wasn’t the only defender to impact the game heavily, as it was Rayan Ait-Nouri who inspired the victory.

After the win, the Algerian was asked about the mood in the dressing room, to which he insisted ‘everyone is happy’.

“It’s very good. Everyone is happy, all the players, all the staff, and we’ve improved,” Ait-Nouri told Wolves’ official website

The left-back continued by predicting that Wolves’ form will continue as a result of the strong morale at the club.

“We’ve done very well the last few games, and I have a feeling that we will continue like this because we deserve it.

“Now we need to prepare the next game against Manchester United, and that will be a very good game away, and hopefully we’ll do good.”

Ait-Nouri was at his brilliant best against Tottenham

Ait-Nouri has been criticised for his defending at times this season, prompting many to ponder what the 23-year-old’s best position is.

Pereira is relishing playing the defender at left-wing-back, giving Ait-Nouri the keys to roam on the flank, a role he excelled in against Spurs.

Ait-Nouri was Wolves’ best player against Spurs, scoring, assisting and ensuring that his defensive duties were fulfilled, to the relief of supporters.

It remains to be seen whether Pereira can bolster the Algeria international’s eye for defending, something that would undoubtedly take the player to the next level.
